Summary:



NELCO Worldwide is an 88-year-old company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of Shielded Door systems for industrial and medical applications used in national and international markets.



We are looking to hire Service Technicians, and Industrial Mechanics.



This is an opportunity for a service-minded professional. Who is willing to work, learn and grow with a team of dedicated professional who serve the US and Canadian market. A background in automotive repair, Overhead Doors, HVAC or installing/servicing electro-mechanical equipment, could be a good foundation to learn our industry.



We are willing to train those that demonstrate an electro-mechanical background.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Perform PM inspections, repairs, modifications, and upgrades on swing and sliding doors for MRI rooms and Radiation shielded doors

  • Ability understand blueprints and electrical schematics

  • Troubleshoot door systems, components and recommend best course of action to fit the customer's needs and achieve customer satisfaction

  • Properly maintain company equipment, and tools

  • Accomplish department and company goals

  • Aid with additional duties as directed by the Service Manager.

  • This position will interface with the customer, end-user and general contractor. A courteous professional manner must be maintained at all times




Qualifications and Skills:



  • Knowledge of reading plans, specifications, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals and other construction documents necessary to resolve issues

  • Must have good mechanical ability, able to repair electro-mechanical devices and understand and work with basic electrical circuits and relay logic

  • Skill in time management, communication, and organization

  • Skill in the use of computers - Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (laptop and phone provided)

  • Required to submit expenses and timesheets

  • Ability to work independently, well under pressure

  • Ability to communicate effectively & professionally, both verbally and in writing

  • Must be self-motivated

  • Legally able to work in USA.




Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of mechanical experience

  • AADM certification is a plus

  • 30hr OSHA certification is a plus (will be required after starting)

  • Welding experience with certifications, a plus (will be required after starting)




Work Environment / Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to pass Full Government background checks as well as random drug test

  • Must be willing to work in a healthcare environment and may be required to provide proof of standard vaccinations

  • Required to maintain a clean driving record

  • Must be willing to work weekends and additional hours

  • Must able to work in a tight and confined spaces

  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs

  • This is a 100% travel job. Need to be willing to travel and be comfortable with booking travel arrangements. Must be willing to fly, drive and navigate US cities.

  • Have the Physical ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders, work on knees for extended periods of time and proficient operating power tools.
